1.1 Camera and Image Data

  • Primo Scale requires camera access to scan objects using augmented reality (AR) technology for weight estimation, dimension measurement, and object counting
  • Captured images are sent to Google Gemini AI for analysis and estimation
  • Small thumbnail images are stored locally on your device as part of your measurement history
  • Images are not stored on our servers or transmitted to any party other than Google Gemini for processing

1.2 Measurement Data

  • Measurement results including weight estimates, dimension estimates, and object counts are stored locally on your device
  • Associated metadata such as timestamps, confidence levels, and scan quality data is stored alongside measurements
  • A maximum of 100 measurement records are retained on your device, with older records automatically removed

1.3 AR and Sensor Data

  • The App uses ARKit (iOS) and ARCore (Android) to capture 3D mesh and depth data from LiDAR sensors when available
  • Sensor data including depth maps and spatial measurements are processed locally on your device
  • AR sensor data is not transmitted to external servers

1.4 Preference Data

  • App preferences such as language settings are stored locally on your device
  • No personal profile data is collected or transmitted

1.5 Analytics

  • We collect anonymized usage data through Firebase Analytics, including screen views, feature usage events, and user properties
  • No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected during this process

1.6 Premium Features

  • For users who purchase premium features, we utilize RevenueCat for subscription management and payment processing
  • RevenueCat may collect data related to transactions as outlined in their Privacy Policy
  • Users are anonymous by default; no account registration is required

  • Measurement Analysis: Camera images and AR sensor data are processed to estimate object weight, dimensions, and count using AI
  • Improving App Functionality: Anonymized usage data helps us optimize app performance and user experience
  • Local Storage: Measurement history and thumbnails are stored locally on your device for your convenience
  • Subscription Management: Premium transactions are processed through RevenueCat and the respective app stores

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except as required for the following purposes:

  • Image Processing: Object images are sent to Google Gemini AI API for weight, dimension, and count estimation
  • Analytics: Firebase Analytics collects anonymized usage data
  • Payments: RevenueCat processes subscription data through Apple App Store and Google Play Store

Third-party services operate independently and are governed by their respective privacy policies.

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement robust measures to safeguard your data:

  • Local-First Storage: All measurement data, thumbnails, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Capacitor Preferences
  • No User Accounts: Primo Scale does not require account registration; users remain anonymous by default
  • Temporary Processing: Images sent to Google Gemini AI are processed in real-time and are not stored by us
  • Data Limits: Measurement history is automatically trimmed to 100 records to manage device storage
  • Security Measures: Industry-standard security practices protect data transmission to third-party services

5. User Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access and Deletion: You can view and delete all your data through the App's settings. Uninstalling the App also removes all locally stored data from your device
  • Camera Permissions: You can revoke camera access at any time through your device's system settings
  • Transparency: You have the right to request details about how your data is used
