By format, a month
Impressions a day = daily users × sessions × requests per session × match rate × show rate, per format. Revenue = impressions × eCPM / 1,000, summed over the formats that are on; a month is 365 / 12 days. Match rate, show rate, eCPM and ARPDAU as AdMob defines them in its partner bidding glossary and glossary.
The eCPMs are examples, not market figures: replace them with the ones in your ad network's own report. Ad revenue carries no app store fee.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions people ask
What is eCPM?
Effective cost per mille: what you earn for every 1,000 impressions. AdMob defines it as earnings divided by impressions, times 1,000. An eCPM of USD 6 means 1,000 interstitials shown earned USD 6.
What are match rate and show rate?
AdMob splits fill into two steps. Match rate is matched requests divided by requests: how often a network returned an ad. Show rate is impressions divided by matched requests: how often a matched ad was actually shown. The calculator multiplies requests by both to get impressions.
What is ARPDAU?
Average revenue per daily active user: the revenue of a day divided by the users active that day. AdMob defines it as earnings divided by active users. It lets you compare days, apps and formats regardless of audience size.
Why do eCPMs vary so much?
They move with the user's country, the ad format, the season and your mediation setup. That is why the numbers filled in here are only examples, and why you should use the eCPMs from your own report.
Do Apple and Google take a cut of ad revenue?
No. The App Store and Google Play fee applies to purchases and subscriptions sold through the store. Ad revenue is paid by the ad network, so the calculator takes no store fee off it.
How do I read these numbers from AdMob?
In AdMob reports, group by ad format or ad unit and add the requests, match rate, show rate and eCPM metrics. Divide requests by the sessions in the same period to get requests per session. Daily active users come from your analytics, such as Google Analytics for Firebase.
How does the calculator count a banner?
A banner that refreshes sends a new request each time, so count every refresh. A banner that refreshes every 60 seconds during a 2 minute session makes about 2 requests.
Is the calculator free?
Yes. There is no account, no sign-up and no limit, and it runs in your browser.
